This book addresses the analysis of radiative heat transfer when using CFD software. CFD and thermal radiation are of course substantial topics in their own rights; the book bridges the gap between the two areas and is a short introductory overview which will be of particular value to CFD practitioners analysing a broad spectrum of topics, especially in engineering disciplines. It complements and does not compete with the existing excellent textbooks on thermal radiation on the one hand, and on CFD on the other (including user manuals), and cites plentiful references for the reader looking for greater detail. The book assumes readership with at least a basic undergraduate level knowledge of fluid flow and heat transfer.
